‘Literologue‘, the 10th annual lecture
In PG department of Karim City College The tenth episode of the annual lecture “Literologue” was organized by the students of the Department of English. This lecture was organized on the birth anniversary of the famous English writer Jane Austen. Department HOD Dr. Yahiya Ibrahim said about the author that Jane Austen for the first time gave a uniquely modern character to the novel through her behavior towards common people in everyday life.
She published four novels in her lifetime: Sense and Sensibility (1811), Pride and Prejudice (1813), Mansfield Park (1814), and Emma (1815). In this program, Principal of Karim City College, Dr. Muhammad Reyaz and Associate Professor of English Department of Co-operative College, Dr. Sanjay Yadav, besides teachers of English Department, Prof. AK Das, Dr. Basudhara Roy, Dr. Neha Tiwari and Saket Kumar were present.
