In Karim City College (Sakchi) Jamshedpur today at 2:00 pm, newly enrolled students of the new graduation session (2023 – 2027) were formally and traditionally welcomed. On this occasion, a grand welcome ceremony was organized in the college auditorium in which the students of all the three streams of Arts, Science and Commerce participated along with their parents who have enrolled for graduation this year. The function was organized under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz, in which several professors holding important positions addressed the gathering.
Library incharge Dr Mohammad Moiz Ashraf said that our library has more than 60,000 books. There is also a virtual library and reading room equipped with all kinds of facilities from which one can fully benefit. He told that we use MasterSoft for our students, through which we provide all kinds of information from attendance to our students. Dr. Yahiya Ibrahim told about ‘Spark‘ that it is a cultural and literary institution in which ample opportunities are provided to emerge the artistic talents hidden inside the students. Dr. Kausar Tasneem told about Women Cell that we solve the problems of girl students through this platform and campaign on important and burning issues. NCC Officer Major Dr. Fakhruddin Ahmed introduced NCC. Dr. Ale Ali NSS Officer highlighted the importance of NSS. Dr. Udham Singh highlighted the service spirit of Rotaract Club. After him, Dean of Commerce Dr. MM Nazri, Dean of Science Dr. Aftab Alam Khan and in-charge of Placement Cell Dr. G. Vijayalakshmi addressed the gathering. Chief Controller of Examinations Dr. BN Tripathi provided full information about registration examination and ABC ID. In the end, Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz introduced the students to all the professors and exhorted the students to do something special in life by giving examples of their successful students like ISRO scientist Jamshed Khan along with Ravi Shankar Shukla and Suraj Kumar, former DC of the city. Preached and blessed him with his blessings.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Mohammad Yahiya Ibrahim and Prof. Saket Kumar. Finally, the assembly ended with the college anthem and the national anthem.
