Bill Nye the Science Guy
Bill Nye, also known as “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” is a science educator, television host, and mechanical engineer. He is best known for his science education program “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” which aired on PBS from 1993 to 1998 and has been widely used in classrooms to teach science to children.
Nye was born on November 27, 1955 in Washington D.C., and received his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University. After graduation, he worked as an engineer for Boeing, where he developed an interest in science education. In the late 1980s, Nye began working as a stand-up comedian, using his sense of humor to engage and educate audiences about scientific concepts.

Nye has also been a vocal advocate for the importance of scientific literacy and the need to address climate change. He has testified before Congress on the importance of investing in science and technology, and has participated in a number of scientific expeditions and research projects.
